Wearing a Fitted Red Dress- Pregnancy Fashion | LoveMelanique

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I’m kicking off the week by sharing this beautiful red fitted dress I wore on our date night. I love wearing fitted, stretchy dresses now that I’m pregnant, because not only do they it show off the baby bump, but it is extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. This dress is lovely because it accentuates the shoulders with the dazzling red rhinestones. I paired this dress with a gorgeous pair of red crystal Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a gold Gucci clutch for the perfect pregnancy fashion look!

SPRING IN NYC!

Early this April, I took a business trip to NYC for a fashion photoshoot and it was absolutely fabulous! Although it was still cold, I decided to bring warm Spring weather to New York City with my vibrant pink and yellow ensemble. As I walked in Central Park with the photographer (Kendall) eyes were roaming as onlookers admired my CHANEL coat. The beauty of this coat is in the bling! I received so many compliments when I wore this coat; it is truly a masterpiece! Under the coat, I wore this beautiful Spring HERVE LEGER dress which was brought to life by the pop of vibrant yellow stripes! I paired this dress with a pair of ' Yellow Lady Peep' Christian Louboutin Shoes. Let me know what you think!

Garden Time

I spent time at one of my many beautiful family homes in the Bahamas. I had wonderful time in the garden today! I picked fresh cabbage and green sweet pepper to cook dinner. I love living on an island because it is so easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Almost every fruit, vegetable or herb you use to cook can be found in island gardens. The garden also has a pond; my island backyard is truly beautiful! There’s many more fruits, vegetables and herbs in my garden but if you want to see then you just have to come and spend the day with me!

Spring Fling

Spring weather is all year round in the Bahamas. Our summers can be very crucial and hot but the beauty of the landscape is just phenomenal and it’s worth the sweat! The bougainvillea plant is one of my absolute favourite plants. I could stare at them all day long! I loved shooting this Spring look with Mel-Lisha. You can never go wrong with a vibrant, neon yellow during Spring!

Farewell 2016 and Welcome to 2017!

Just like that the year has come and gone. I can honestly say that 2016 has been one of the toughest years of my life so far. I’ve experienced a lot of happiness and a great deal of pain. But life is always what you make it and that’s why I’ll continue to dwell on the positive thoughts and happy times in my life! I’m excited, happy, nervous and READY for what’s to come in 2017.

Since a young age, I was told not to be anxious about the next day, because the next day will have its own troubles. With that being said, I hope despite whatever you’ve been through in 2016, whether good or bad, you go into 2017 with nothing but love, happiness and positive thoughts.

Jay and I had an amazing 2016 New Year’s Eve celebration with our good friend from Toronto. We all enjoyed a beautiful sit-down dinner at a trendy, upscale, Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese themed restaurant located in Western New Providence, the Bahamas called SHIMA. The restaurant is apart of the beautiful boutique hotel called ‘The Island House’ and I must say it was really nice to have a wonderful intimate dinner, and also enjoy the New Year’s Ever festivities without having to be uncomfortably jammed into a crowd of people you don’t even know. After dinner, we were able to dance and enjoy the 2017 New Year countdown on the spacious dance floor with great people. And if you’re from the Bahamas or been living here for a while, you know that there is no better way to welcome in the New Year than with a little Junkanoo rush out. The night was fantastic and let’s not forget the amazing fireworks!

Now for the best 2017 news of all! As you can clearly see from the intro photo, it is with great joy and excitement Jay and I are able to announce that we’re expecting our first child in  May 2017! This is undoubtedly the happiest post I’ve ever written, and I can not wait to share our pregnancy journey details. I’ll be sharing more over the coming days, but listed below are a few details:

  • Due Date: May 14, 2017
  • Gender: Baby Boy!
  • Name: We finally settled on a name for our baby boy, but we won’t be announcing it until the baby shower.

The next blog post will be completely dedicated to Baby Gotlieb. This is our miracle! Our hearts are full, and we are so excited to finally have you along for the journey! Something tells me that this is going to be our most amazing year yet!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
